So the router as an important communication device also need to adapt to the complex and changeable demand and developing towards a higher level. And the emergence of distributed architecture processing business for its higher quality, higher efficiency provides the possibility of. And on this basis, people hope to improve the utilization rate and further improve the working efficiency of the equipment of network equipment resources. And stacking technology provides simplified local management will be a set of communication equipment logic of integration together as an object management greatly improves the utilization rate of resources, the use of the technology simplified network topology in order to facilitate the management, through cooperation between devices also improve the overall reliability of the system.This thesis mainly studies the high-end router board inside the equipment, the communication between the development of router software system of the basic support module, communication module between plate, achieve high-end routers within the veneer of communication between the CPU and appears to be independent of each other at the physical level veneer can be good information interaction, make it on the premise of complete different function can be very good together again become a device. Using distributed architecture, this thesis studies the high-end router will control function integrated in the main control board, such as forwarding engine functional integration in the interface board, make all single boards, and from enhancing the working efficiency of the whole.In this thesis, the research and implementation of major in two modes, namely the stack mode and stacking mode, main work includes:1) initialization of communication module between the plate:creating receive message queue, application message memory space, issued by the MAC address of each veneer CPU port, the Lsw exchange (chips) vlan configuration, to encapsulate packet header.2) in the stack and the stack of two modes, different ways of sending the message, including unicast, broadcast radio and group to send.3) message receiving, board communication module between the underlying so driven to accept a message, and according to the different message types add it to different queue, finally will handle the message forwarded to the corresponding application module.This article first studied to implement the communication between plate technology; And then through the analysis of the structure and process of module completed the overall design of the communication module between plate in this paper the design and implementation of each module; Final module was tested to verify module reusability.
