Design And Development Of Automatic Typesetting System Based On The VBA Of Word

Our country has the world's largest group of college graduates.The typesetting of graduation thesis is time-consuming,thus the automatic typesetting of paper based on computer program is needed to improve the paper's typesetting efficiency.At present,many typesetting systems have been used,while some operation interfaces are complex which make them difficult to operate,or some are too simple to meet the basic demands.In this paper,we proposed a system based VBA techniques of Word which can recognize the content of paper intelligently and typeset automatically according to the predefined format.In this system,using VBA objects can achieve the intelligent recognition of the content of paper,and classify the paper according to the predefined standard after the preprocessing about clearing blank lines,blank characters,blank paragraphs and the original format,then typeset the classifying content based on the predefined format as well as provide one-click typesetting for images in the paper and some post processing options such as automatic pagination,adding headers and contents automatically.In this way,the time-consuming problem can be solved to some extent.Additionally the GUI of this system is humanized to make it widely used allowing users to customize content as well as simplifies the operation.The results show that this system can satisfy the requirements of the thesis of most schools including Qilu University of Technology and get positive responses.
