With the widespread application of multimedia projector in home entertainment, science& education, enterprises and other walks of life, the demand for high brightness light source is also more and more high. For the advantages of outstanding arc luminance, long life, small size and low cost, Ultra-high performance lamp has occupied more than 95% market of the projector light source. The sealing of arc tube is necessary in ultra-high performance lamp production process, but almost of the internal equipment for art tube sealing is imported from abroad. Refer to the internal and external production techniques; the paper introduces an ultra-high performance lamp sealing equipment based on rotary sealing and water-cooling method.According to rotary sealing technology, the feeding, ignition and clamping is finished by cylinders, and the sealing process is completed by three sets of servo feed system. The paper introduces overall structure and key mechanisms of the rotary sealing equipment.The paper selects MITSUBISHI FX3G series PLC as the core of control system, and completes the overall structure of the control system. Through selects of the components used in the control system and designs electrical schematic, the hardware design of the control system is completed. By writing PLC program and designing man-machine interface with HIM, the software design of the control system is completed.According to the technical requirements, the commissioning of rotary sealing equipment is completed. The problems appear in the production process and the cause of the unqualified product is analyzed and solved.
