In recent years, Wireless Local Area Networks has been developed very mature, but the application is restricted obviously due to the shortcoming of limited coverage. Wireless Mesh Network is a wireless communication network with the features of complete wireless multi-hop transmission, self-organizing construction, strong self-healing capacity, high reliability. It not only can be used to solve the problem of limited transmission distance of WLAN effectively, but also can be deployed in all kinds of environments. As its unique properties and characteristics, the Wireless Mesh Network technology has been researched widely and the value of application also has been improved and expanded.Starting off practical application requirements, the goal of the thesis is to research and develop the professional Wireless Mesh Network technology and system which support mobility access of Wi-Fi terminals, smooth interconnection with IP core network and large-scale deployment. Based on the existing research project of the hybrid type professional wireless Mesh network, and according to the characteristics of using Wi-Fi as the wireless access transmission and the WMN which based on OLSR routing protocol, the scheme of professional mobile communication access network is researched and designed, which satisfies the background and objectives of the subject. By deploying the collaborative function entities including access controller and wireless access point on the Wireless Mesh Network platform which based on OLSR routing protocol, tunnel technology is used to implement mobility access function of Wi-Fi terminals. After the specifically analysis of existing PTT technology which using application layer multicast, as well as the structure and features of the network which supporting mobility access of terminals, the improved scheme of existing PTT program is researched and proposed in order to realize the PTT trunking communication system with the support of mobility access.Based on the Linux platform, the key technologies and system functions of the designed professional Wireless Mesh Network is developed, which include the network access management of mobile terminals and PTT system function etc. Through the actual deployment and verification in experimental WMN, the result present that the designed Wireless Mesh access Network and PTT application system in this paper are correct, effective and reasonable. The research has a certain practical application value.
