Wireless Mesh Network is a broadband wireless network which has featuresof multi-hop, self-organization, self-healing, high reliability, easy deployment.Wireless Mesh Network not only canbe used to solve the problem of limited transmission distance of WLAN, it also can be deployed in all types of environments. Wireless Mesh Network has very good prospects as an important part of next-generation wireless broadband network.Starting off practical application background, aiming at the implement of professionalWireless Mesh Network technology and system which can be widely deployed and can interconnect with IP core Network smoothly, a proper Wireless Mesh Network solution with the function of WiFi AP access is proposedbased onthe practical application character of OLSR routing protocol.Besides, after the analysis of existing PTT technology and the comparison of network layer unicast, network layer broadcast,network layer multicast and application layer multicast, a trunking communication system scheme that fits Wireless Mesh Network structure is proposed, in whichcentralized control and distributed application layer multicast data transmission is used.The key technologies and system functionsof the designed professionalWireless Mesh Network is developed based on Linux operating system,which includethe client access management and PTT system function etc.By the test of the actual operation and running, the result present that the designed Wireless Mesh access Network and PTT application system in this paper are reasonable, effective and practical.
