With the rapid development of electronic technology and information technology,more and more devices(smart devices,wireless sensing devices,etc.)are produced and added into the ubiquitous network.Compared with traditional network,the devices in ubiquitous network have a huge amount and a variety of features.Different types of devices may use different protocols in communication.It makes it complicated when developing applications.Only the people who are familiar with the specific communication protocol could develop the application.Currently,most of the application developers focus on the specific field or the function.It forms the"information island" in sensing network,which fails to lead to the applications that aggregating the information in the network.At first,in order to reduce the difficulty and enhance the efficiency of application development in ubiquitous network.We address a method based on WoT platform.Different types of ubiquitous devices are abstracted into Web resources,which form the WoT(Web of Things)platform.Application developers do not need to know about the communication protocol used by the device.They can only use the RESTful interface provided by WoT platform to operate the device.The method leads the point of application development to what it really wants to do.There is a need for some technical support for an open platform-based application development approach.First,we must manage the ubiquitous resources in WoT platform effectively.The resources may be used in different applications and represent different types of devices.We are facing the challenge of resource authentication and address assignment in heterogeneous network.Traditional resource authentication method is mainly suitable for vertical applications in a single user identity confirmation.However,the resources under WoT architecture represent the ubiquitous physical devices which may be used in different applications.This paper addresses a method of resource authentication which forms Resource-Operation-Application-User structure to prevent the resources from being used maliciously.Different types of ubiquitous devices under WoT architecture may use different communication protocols,which means the forms of address are generally different.At first,this paper puts forward a method of address assignment for the devices in heterogeneous networks,which can be used to distinguish the ubiquitous devices from each other.Then,according to the "Building Vibration Monitoring System"application,this paper puts forward a method of address assignment adapting for the IEEE 802.15.4 network which forms the topology of tree.The Method can form three types of address which are for the children,the sensor network and Internet.The devices route through the address for the sensor network.Finally,this paper describes the developing process of vibration monitoring system for building based on the WoT platform.The system could monitor the building vibration and warn if the vibration is exceeded.The system is developed based on WoT platform,which proves that we can use WoT platform to develop applications effectively and simply.The system is deployment in Demo Center in Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell and tested by SaiBao.
