The new artificial media is developed a new type of material in recent years.This new type of material acceptted much attention round the world due to the wide range of application in the academic field of study.The special electromagnetic properties reflected by the material subvert the people to the traditional understanding of the field of electro-magnetic material.This new artificial medium is also known as a meta-material,a specific material,LHM,negative refractive index material,anisotropic material and so on,this is based on their unique physical characteristics.And we referred to this new material as metamaterials(MMs).The structure and composition of the MMs is similar with the one of the photonic crystal that achieve different physical properties through changing the physical structure of the MMs.This paper introduces the research background,significance and the status of the metamaterials. Since the main content of this paper is based on the research on the multi-layers of the meta-material broadband filter,we should give a first brief introduction to the research status and classification of the filters.Then this paper describes the electromagnetic algorithm used in the research which contains the finite element method(FEM). Since all of the electromagnetic algorithms are based on Maxwell's equations to expand,we should do a simple understanding about the Maxwell's equations.And the last, we should give a introduction about the related knowledges of electromagnetic boundary conditions.The contents of this paper mainly includes the following three aspects:Firstly, we should give a numerical analysis about the meta-material multilayers broadband filters. In this part,we should give introduction on the propose of the equivalent transmission line and equivalent circuit theories of the multilayer of the split ring resonator(SRR).Then the most important is the transmission matrix solving of the matlab programs of the mutilayers SRR.Secondly,give a further optimization about the meta-material broadband filter.The main work in this part is the design and simulation of the filer model.Thirdly,the last work is to study the sensitivity of the multilayer SRR.The main work in this part is the design of the kinds of multilayer meta-material simulated model.The difficulty is the set of the kinds of incident angles of the incidence and the electromagnetic boundary conditions.
