With the high demand for the industrialization of the control system and the rapid development of field bus, DCS(Distributed Control System) has been widely used in the large nuclear power plant control, large thermal power control and petrochemical industries. DCS improves not only the quality of the control programming software significantly but also the software development efficiency greatly with the IEC61131-3 standard programming language. However, traditional configuration is single and configured artificially while the whole project is complicated. It is in lower efficiency and error-prone by this artificial configuration. And it shows that there are some problems in field security and engineering inconvenience through a number of field practices with the configuration.A scheme of fast configuration of Distributed Control System is proposed and realized in the VC++6.0 platform in this thesis. It has achieved rapid configuration of different field station project in the premise of ensuring the correctness of configuration control logic and we perform functional, performance and usability testing. This formula, firstly, analyzes the history and research status of distributed control systems, including DCS products activing currently on the market at home and abroad as well as DCS systems in different areas of industry distribution, focusing on the structure and function of MACS DCS of Hollysys; secondly, program organization units of continuous function block diagram language, program type is analyzed based on IEC61131-3 standard and the demand background of a fast configuration is put forward; thirdly, it analyzes the design advantages of rapid configuration and designs the specific implementation process of the dbeditor, frame of Auto Think, Variables, Continuous Function Chart modules and Help location; finally, quick configuration function of Distributed Control System is tested on functional, performance, usability testing in the MACS V6.5 system environment and we summarize the application of rapid configuration in different sites and evaluate its performance. Quick configuration of Distributed Control System improves the efficiency of on-site project configuration. At the same time it has fulfilled automation configuration and has openness to different industries or application scenarios.The design of DCS quick configuration has been applied in some DCS field projects. It shows that this scheme can achieve logic automation and meet the needs of different industries for fast configuration on the different application development platform. Feedback on engineering personnel are with good results, achieved the desired objectives.
