The optical tracking composite axis is a two stage tracking system consisting of a fast mirror mounted on a rough tracking platform and a coarse tracking turntable. Composite axis servo system can greatly improve the response speed and tracking accuracy of the electro-optical tracking system. This paper is based on the analysis and selection of the composite axis of optical tracking. The work of this paper mainly has the following four aspects:First, comprehensive analysis of the composite axis control system, which provides theoretical preparation for the design and selection. Specific work is as follows: 1. through the analysis of the FSM system, a precision tracking model is established. 2. The method of system error and input signal is derived, and the dynamic error method is proposed. 3. the relationship between the inhibition ability of the compound axis error and the inhibition ability of the coarse and fine system were analyzed. 4. the formula of the total equivalent bandwidth of the composite shaft and the bandwidth of the coarse and fine tracking system is derived. The model is verified by the Simulink module in MATLAB. 5. based on the above theoretical work, the main performance index of the composite axis control system is obtained according to the task of optical tracking.Second, according to a set of measured data in the coarse tracking, after detailed analysis, using the method of continuous adding, the use of simulation method of the coarse tracking system is modeled, the model and the actual tracking system matching degree is very high.Third, on the basis of the previous work, the total index of the composite axis control system is decomposed into the performance index of the coarse and fine tracking system. Then the simulation results of the composite axis system are carried out. The simulation results are more reliable. According to the simulation results and the theoretical formula, the key index of the fast mirror is converted.Fourth, some methods to improve the tracking accuracy of the composite axis are studied. Mainly the application of the delay prediction and the modern control theory, and the simulation is carried out, and some control strategies are given.
