Design And Implementation Of Management System On University Teachers Teaching Workload

With the rapid development of higher education, the scale of university teachers increases largely. The management and assessment of the university teachers' teaching workload has become a very important part of the university work. Using the computer management system based on WEB can increase the processing speed of the teachers' workload management significantly, improve the management efficiency on the basis of data sharing, reduce such unnecessary labor as repeated operations, and avoid making the mistake like omission calculation. Therefore, replacing the teacher's artificial management with computer management system has become an irreversible trend.The Teacher's Workload Management System adopts B/S Architecture Model based on WEB, designs the structure of each sub-module, establishes relevant database and the database table and completes the development work of the user interface and the data of the teacher module by the ASP.NET technology and SQL technology. In addition, it also creates a humanized and operable web page for the teachers and the administrator of the Teaching Affaires Office by combining powerful Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2008 as the main development tools. The system function module mainly consists of the login interface, operation module for administrator of the Teaching Affaires Office, operation module for the administrator of each college's teaching affair office, as well as the operation module for the teachers and so on. Each interface corresponds to a corresponding user's administrative authority.Teachers can calculate their workload and make a submission first by themselves, and then the administrator of the Teaching Affaires Office can make a review, modification and feedback. In the stage of the system's design and implementation, this paper analyzes the program, interface and key code of each module function.In order to assess the teacher's workload more accurately, this paper studies the analytic hierarchy process, and applied it to the analysis of the teaching workload load,helping to make scientific decisions during the teaching management.The Teachers' Workload Management System enhances the efficiency of workload statitics, saves a lage amount of time during the daily teaching management,and makes a certain contribution to the improvement of the management efficiency ofthe university teachers' workload. The actual test has shown that the system can meet the college's basic requirements for the teaching workload management. It has shown its characteristics such as convenient, fast, simple and easy interface in all aspects of the workload's calculation, submission, review, collecting statistics, and feedback.
