A gyroscope is a device that can detect the angular movement precisely. It is widely used in the fields of aviation, aerospace, navigation, military affairs and national defense. With the developments of all areas above, the requirements for gyroscope's reliability and lifetime are also increasing. The gyroscope needs to be tested for its reliability and parametric with the gyroscope lifetime automatic monitoring equipment before loading on the aerospace equipment. The signals which are collected by the equipment contain noise, it is caused by the presence of radiation sources. And the noise has an impact on test results. To solve this problem, digital filtering techniques are studied in this paper, then the wavelet filtering method is selected to denoise the signal.This paper introduces the gyroscopes and the gyroscope lifetime automatic monitoring equipment firstly, its theory and structure have been understood. The reason why the signals contain noise has been analyzed. Then the wavelet filter method is selected from conventional digital filtering methods considering the characteristics of the device, its theory and process are also been described. Then the wavelet filtering experiments have been executed to ensure the appropriate threshold, wavelet function and decomposition scale by using matlab. The sensitivity of the method has been verified, and a new method for solving boundary effects is proposed. Finally, the advantages of the wavelet filtering has been explained by comparing with the original filtering method.
