Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is the most technical challenge in recent decades, which is designed for the collection of information, which is considered to be one of the IT technologies can produce major effect to human life in the twenty-first Century, have received the attention of all countries in the world. Reliability and lifetime is the key performance indicators in WSNs and is scientific research focus. This paper optimized WSN reliability and lifetime based on timeliness of information and network availability, and proposed reliability approximate algorithm and optimization algorithm for large scale sparse graph.In his paper we proposed the definition of reliability based on message delay control, which is the probability of the WSN average message delay less no more than the limited message delay, and we also proposed reliability algorithm and proved the effectiveness of the algorithm in the simulation. We proposed the definition of the lifetime based on the reliability, which is the duration, that WSN reliability kept the reliability of not less than the minimum reliability. We proposed an approximation algorithm for the reliability based on State stack, and has achieved good results in the simulation. At last we proposed an optimization algorithm of WSN reliability for the large-scale sparse graphs.
