With the rapid development of information technology, such as cloud computing and big data, the number of services and data in the backbone optical network is increasing in a blowout. The data transmission rate and transmission capacity in the communication network are constantly expanding, and any network component(link or node)failure leads to a large loss of data or a serious decline in service quality.Large-scale disaster events such as earthquakes and hurricanes can cause extensive damage to the network components and pose a serious threat to the peripheral components. For example,large-scale disaster events might lead to a serious decline in the reliability or lifetime of links around the affected areas. Therefore, studying optical network survivability and improving network service quality are very important for the future network development. In view of the decline of link reliability or lifetime in the post-disaster network, this thesis makes the following two kinds of research. In view of the component damage and link reliability degradation caused by large-scale disaster events to the backbone optical network, this thesis proposes a multi-path based service reliability and bandwidth recovery scheme.According to the service reliability requirement, link reliability decline and link bandwidth surplus, the scheme flexibly selects the service recovery path and the number of paths, leading to improve the service reliability and balance the network load.According to the loss of service bandwidth and the remaining link bandwidth, the scheme increases bandwidth provisioning for the service fairly and reduces the loss rate of service bandwidth.According to the principle of minimizing the loss rate of service bandwidth, the scheme further adds new routes to the service and increases the corresponding bandwidth.Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can significantly improve the performances in terms of service average reliability and service reliability compliance rate, and also minimizes service interruption rate and service bandwidth loss rate.In view of the component damage and link lifetime degradation caused by large-scale disaster events to the optical datacenter network, the thesis proposes link-lifetime-based service restoration in optical datacenter networks. The scheme utilizes the concession of global service bandwidth and limited lifetime of the link to alleviate the bandwidth resource crisis of communication network after adisaster, and determines the service recovery priority according to the bandwidth requirement and the duration requirement of the affected service, thereby minimizing the loss of the service duration.According to the bandwidth required by the service,a routing strategy, combining both the anycast and multicast is adopted to improve service connectivity and bandwidth resource utilization. The results show that the proposed solution can minimize the service loss rate and effectively extend the duration of the affected service and reduce the loss of data traffic.
