Microwave technology has become one of the core technologies in the field of science and technology. It is mainly used in communication and radar systems, of course, applications in the field of navigation, remote sensing, science research,biomedical and microwave can also accounted for a large proportion. The rapid development of microwave technology for microwave devices are increasingly high requirements, small size, light quality, high reliability, wide frequency band, fast working speed, strong anti-interference ability is the development trend of modern microwave devices. Integration of the various functions of microwave devices has now become the direction of research and development of microwave devices industry.Limiting attenuation components in the design of this paper is the limiter and attenuator with two functional integration, its advantages are small size, light quality,high reliability, high attenuation accuracy, so that it can better protect the equipment from the influence of strong signal and burning.This paper first analyzes the circuit structure, main parameters and function of limiter and attenuator, limiter circuit is built by small parasitic parameter desktop structure PIN diode chip and attenuation circuit with resistive with ? type resistance attenuation circuit; and then use ADS software to simulate the basic structure parameters of the limiter circuit and the attenuation circuit and to simulate the influence parameters of the microstrip line; then the corresponding driving circuit board is designed according to the control logic relation of the limiting attenuation components; Secondly, this paper completes the limiting attenuation components of the circuit substrate design based on the analysis of the thin film microstrip technology of hybrid integrated circuit, and completes the limiting attenuation components cavity design according to the design requirements and the influence of the thermal expansion coefficient of the raw material, and assemble the limiting attenuation components according to the requirements of micro assembly process;finally according to the design requirements of limiting attenuation component ofdebugging and testing, the limiting attenuation component is verified by the gold band or gold wire tensile test, the temperature impact test, the low temperature electrical property test and the high temperature electric property test.Limiting attenuation components test results show that: when working at999~1121 MHz operating conditions, the limiting level is about 8 dBm, the maximum insertion loss does not exceed 1.6 dB, the maximum input and output VSWR is not more than 1.2; when working at the minimum operating environment temperature(-40 ?) and maximum environment temperature(+ 70 ?), compared with the normal temperature test, the test indexes of the limiting attenuation components change little,which indicate that the design of the limiting attenuation components can work in the environment-40 ? ~ + 70 ?, and also indicate that the design of limiting attenuation components has strong anti-disturbance ability, and can be well applied to various communication receiver front end.
