Design And Implementation Of Dalian Public Transportation Management System

Transportation is the link between urban economic and cultural activities, and it is the main pillar of urban development. With the rapid development of economy in Dalian, living standards are improving every day, cars are becoming common tools in people's life. More and More people have bought cars and the traffic is worse and worse. Dalian is one of the first smart cities, there is much progress in Dalian. Meanwhile, there are many challenges in road development, designing a set of public transport service platform is in important significance.Dalian public transportation information system could be divided into four parts by requirement analysis, respectively service guide, information release system, bus dispatching and maintenance management, driver standardized management. Service guide module is mainly used for passenger services. Service guide module covers the travel planning, information acquisition and feedback evaluation service three modules. The information release system mainly includes three modules:one-card traveling management, the basic route inquiry and the traffic announcement management. Bus scheduling consists of three parts, including bus monitoring, bus scheduling and bus information management. Driver standardized management is mainly responsible for the regular training and assessment of drivers, to ensure that drivers are in a good working atmosphere. During the system design stage, Unified Modeling Language (UML) is used for system modeling description. During system function confirmation stage, the using case diagram is used to describe the relationship between the system function and users. The using case diagram is used to describe system function. During database design stage, the E-R model is used to describe the entities, to identify the dependencies between entities, to design the attribute type and size. During the system development stage, the state diagram is used to describe system states and conditions in which states transfer from one to another.During the system testing stage, it can be divided in three parts, the internal testing, centralized testing and running testing. Each stage is able to provide better service and support service. The system has been applied on well, providing 7x24 hours service for Dalian Public transport. It has met all the required target of operators, and gotten a high praise from customers.
