With the development of information science and technology, especially with the development of Internet, the data showed explosive growth, the data that distributed viutual reality systems need to carry is showing exponential growth. This paper analyses the structure and characteristics of the data storage and management which has been widely used in many fields in recent years, if the system to read and write a lot of throughput, non-structured data arises, thedatabase to store large amounts of data and of massive data management puts forward new requirements. From the point of view of the development trend of data storage and management services, on the one hand, growing demand for data storage, the rapid expansion of storage capacity, thus for database storage proposed greater demand; on the other hand, the effective management of data put forward higher requirements, The diversification of data, geographical dispersion, the protection of important data, and so on, have put forward higher requirements for data management.ViWosystems face the same problem, the data storage and management mechanism of the ViWo system need to be optimized to adapt to the increasing data load pressure and efficient data management principles of the Vi Wo system.In ViWo system, the data is increasing rapidly, to effectively organize these data, to save the data storage space and improve the efficiency of data transmission, and can support the storage and management of mass data.This paper optimized the design of the data storage mechanism of ViWo systemto make it more adaptable to the characteristics of ViWo system data, at the same time, we optimizedredis cache mechanism, with database system, then we finished the design of the management mechanism of scene data, and terrain data, and so on. Finally designed and implementedthe massive data storage and management mechanism based on ViWo.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. Use of the NoSQL database MongoDB replSet technology and sharding mechanism, so that it is more suitable for the storage of massive data to support the high concurrent access to the server needs.2. To optimizecache mechanismRedis of a distributed virtual reality system, it can improve the stability and real-time performance of the system, and improve the user experience.3. The design and implementation of the scene graph data and theeditingmanagement of scene graph.4. The design of the terrain data management mechanism, to meet the needs of distributed virtual reality system.Through test the performance of my work in ViWo system. The design and the implementation of massive data storage and management mechanism in this paper has high stabilitycan meet the needs of users of the system on the stability of the system, data expansion, at the same time, can meet the needs of different distributed in the virtual reality environment.
