Nowadays, more and more parents pay a lot of attention to the children education, thus the children educational apps enjoy a rapid development within a short time. At the same time, parents are also more rational in choosing these educational apps. This indicates that the children educational apps should be more professional for achieving the goal of serving and helping the children.It is difficult for children to understand and use the apps due to the differences of mindset and behavior models between them and adults if we design the apps simply in adult's way. The author illustrates her ideas in designing the children educational apps in the perspective of child psychology and their psychological need with the understanding of studying their mindset and behavior models.First of all, the author concludes the existing problems in domestic children educational apps by analyzing and comparing the development of children educational apps in both domestic and abroad. Then, the author analyzes the children's inside psychological needs and their behavior characteristics from child psychology and cognitive features. Last but not least, the author raises the design principles and strategies in developing children educational apps from three perspectives: optesthesia, function and interaction design referring to the outstanding children apps. On the one hand, the author wants to present the systematic solutions of children education apps design. On the other hand, the author also hopes the designer could pay more attention to the child psychology, cognitive features and combine these in the apps design for children in the future.
