The Research Of Cognitive Function Assessment System Based On Multimedia

Alzheimer is a primary degenerative brain disease which is happened in old age or the early stage of the elderly,and it is a kind of persistent higher nervous disorders of the activities, namely, under the conditions of no disturbance of consciousness, the obstacles of memory, thinking, analysis judgment, emotions and so on, it seriously affect the social activities and life of the patients. The sick risk is increased with the increasing of age.Computer game training is a way of cognitive training in the elderly. This research based on multimedia technology, and with the embedded platform of MSP430 single chip microcomputer we develop an interactive game evaluation system, namely Fun Cube. On the basis of Sifteo Cube we reorganize the system architecture, eliminated the problems we found in the study,Fun Cube breaks through many restrictions, such as screen application field,the number of Fun Cubes and it is more suitable for the elderly.The system consists of three parts:(1) interactive device: this part is the man-machine interface system. It responsible for collecting the tester's test data;(2)data manager: It responsible for the game management and test data storage;(3)feedback system:tester's test data will upload to the server as Personal file, the doctor can check the record,and detect the alzheimer's disease of higher risk earlier.Wireless communication module. For the data transmission part, we made some improvement, according to the request of transmission, and RS- 232- c(UART)communication protocol, we choose 2.4 G RF for data transmission. We redefined the wireless transport protocol, transmission commonds and packet format architecture.After the completion of the system, we conducted four experiments:(1) the Fun Cubes number(ID) test;(2) electromagnetic induction test;(3) game testing;(4)Technology Acceptance Model test.12 Fun Cubes have it's only serial number,electromagnetic induction performance meet the requirements, we can distinguish the people of alzheimer's disease from the normal people basically. In the acceptance of this model, The testers spoke highly of our game training system.
