In order to improve the ability of computing by using GPU, people who work in the company invented a kind of framework named OpenGL that is used in heterogeneous system. Since it is not an open source project, we cannot know how it works in detail. In specific aero, the Real Time Operation System needs to be changed by the details of the heterogeneous framework.The purpose is to make out a prototype that contains the GPU and CPU. The CPU and the GPU use the same SDRAM Controller to access the SDRAM. The GPU needs to be controlled by the CPU. A controller has been added on the GPU to control the GPU. At the same time,an interface between GPU and CPU was also added on the GPU model.This Thesis designed and accomplished a GPU's prototype on SoC system based on Nyuzi Processor. Base on the heterogeneous chip Cyclone V which contains both ARM and FGPA,this Thesis designed and implemented the communication interface and the heterogeneous framework between CPU and GPU for the prototype. According to the feature of the data between the CPU and the GPU,this Thesis choice the AXI bus as the system bus. The CPU controls the GPU by function interface. The function interface that bases on the operation system is mainly about allocating the function aero for GPU, controlling the GPU. The GPU visits the CPU's RAM through the bus interface after initializing the GPU by CPU. After that, the CPU would enable the GPU. This Thesis verifies the prototype system by display a picture on an embedded system.The result of simulation indicates that the prototype system works well and could be used on the embedded system. We could develop more functions on the system in the future.
