We can obtain a big SERS enhancement factor using semiconductor material as surface enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)substrate at terahertz frequencies,and the big enhancement factor has a great application prospect.We used FDTD Solutions software to simulate that the three different microstructures of semiconductor materials(InAs)double particles of nano-micro apertures at terahertz frequencies,the SERS enhancement factor can reach 1011.This article mainly includes the following contents:The introduction of terahertz and Raman spectroscopy,and the application of terahertz is limited in China at present,but it has a great application prospect.The Raman spectroscopy has many kinds,and in this paper we mainly study the SERS,that has many advantages and great application prospect.We introduced the SERS of fundamentals,enhancement mechanism and substrate.The enhancement mechanism of SERS includes electromagnetic enhancement and chemical enhancement.Because of the uncertainty and difficultly theoretical calculation of the chemical enhancement,we mainly research on electromagnetic field enhancement mechanism.And semiconductor SERS substrate is better to obtain a bigger SERS enhancement factor at terahertz frequencies.The theory method of enhancement of electromagnetic field is finite difference time domain method.And the FDTD Solutions software which we used to simulate research model is based on the finite difference time domain method.We used FDTD Solutions software to simulate that the different microstructures of InAs double particles of nano-micro structure at terahertz frequencies to get SERS enhancement of electric field.We can obtain the SERS enhancement factor and frequency of incident light by the distribution of electric field intensity,and the frequency of incident light which can get the biggest SERS enhancement factor is between 4THz-5THz.We discussed that the application prospect of semiconductor particles to produce SERS effect at terahertz frequencies by two examples.We used the SERS effect acquired by encapsulated semiconductor particles into single-bore fiber to make the sensing probe.;In addition,we made substrate models that have good application prospect using the SERS effect acquired by semiconductor particles arranged periodically on the semiconductor materials like graphene using the technology of photolithography.
