Flight parameter data plays an extremely important role to aircraft in routine maintenance, flight training, accident analysis, etc. With the development of data recording technology, the number of signals and the signal recording density of flight file records are growing rapidly. The rapid increase of the total amount of flight data prompts the requirement of flight data analysis such as failure analysis more diverse and urgent. The traditional method of processing flight data is orienting the demand of single property and single file query while retrievals using a unit in files which means that it obtains single file information by retrieving files. Actually, this method cannot provide good support for multi-file conjoint analysis and specific parameter signal set analysis effectively.For the limitations of data storage and retrieval in flight data files by traditional method,a distributed storage architecture based HBase database is proposed in this paper. It separated the data in flight data files according to the flight parameter properties and stored the data of flight data file based on parameters into the HBase database, which achieved a good support for the flight signal data columns-storage and retrieval needs extended. As HBase dealt with conditions search of low efficiency, so we design to establish a secondary index structure to improve it. We experimentally verify that this secondary index structure can improve performance of HBase on conditions search.Ultimately, in this paper, an experiment system is constructed according to the proposed storage architecture in order to accomplish the performance comparisons with the main traditional flight data procession methods. Experimental results proved that the proposed storage strategy accelerates the data access efficiency for the parameters of flight data, and provides a practical reference value for flight data on the utilization of storage management.
