Based on the author’s work in the task of developing the3D prediction and evaluation platform of Mineral exploration and the ponderation of the author on3D visualization, the topic has two sides, both of them are the3D urban engineering geological modeling and3D visualization function design,and the author apply it to the development of Visualization system.Three-dimensional visualization of urban engineering geology has an extremely important role in the urban construction and development,With the continuous development of the city, the deepening extent of the urban development and utilization,the geological problems involved in urban construction have become more prominent day by day, making the city’s sustainable development strategy to face serious challenges. Under such circumstances, to accelerate the pace of development of urban underground space is very necessary. This requires us to effectively collect geological data of the city, storage, manage., It can help us achieve more rational development and utilization of urban underground space., to build a virtual three-dimensional underground space rely on the three-dimensional visualization techniques.The theory and technology of the3D geological modeling is introduced firstly, the spatial data structures and the problem of building three-dimensional model of the geological body has been carried out deep exploration. Focuses on the establishment of Surface model, build a three-dimensional strata model of ChangZhuTan, Hunan Province, based on the drilling data of engineering geological. Use a lot of drilling data and other measured data to do spatial discrete data interpolation,which can reveal the demarcation point of geological terrane, the demarcation point of the rock engineering properties and the rock structure, in order to simulate the digital elevation model of each stratum. Based on this,do3D model visualization by graphical tools-OpenGL. Introduce the spatial interpolation algorithm, IDW and Kriging. And optimize the variogram of Kriging algorithm to so that we can do structure sleeve in all directions, solve the problem of having high time complexity when we solve the weight coefficient, so that we can achieve faster, more accurate representation of3D geological model.To develop the visualization system on the basis of the geological model, use Visual C++6.0and OpenGL graphics tool, combing with object-oriented programming ideas. The purpose is to form a set of software platform,which can flexibly generate three-dimensional stratigraphic model based on drilling data,and we can do some operating to the three-dimensional geological entity, such as zoom, translate, display properties, and so on.
