The Design And Implementation Of A Software Test Management System

With the development of computer technology,software complexity increase,software testing gradually attract people's attention, in order to improve the efficiency of testing, software testing management system has become an indispensable tool for all types of enterprises, for the independent software testing center, how to standard the management of the software testing process has become an important issue. To solve this problem, a software testing management system has been proposed, which can effectively manage and guide the completion of software testing, improve the efficiency of software testing, reduce the repetitive work, and the design of the system is completely in accordance with the testing process.Firstly the domestic and international software testing tools are analyzed, and then combined with independent software testing center needs in the actual test project, the software testing management system which meets their requirements is researched and designed. According to the idea of software engineering, firstly combined with its test standard processes, the system requirements are analyzed and then finish the overall design of the system. the system is divided into two parts of the server and the client, and the server consists of public library management module, project library management module,user management module and basic data management module, the client consists of project management module, the software testing process management module, data processing module, defect management module and document management module. Then the system design and database design in detail are done. Using C/S architecture,three-layer structure, in which the business logic layer is achieved by ORM technology, a set of ORM framework is defined, Visual Studio 2010 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 are chosen as development environment.The system has been used in the actual testing projects, test engineers are free form the complex document preparation and many repetitive work, and standardize the software testing process, greatly improving the efficiency of the testing work and management.
