Eye gaze tracking technology is a way that we can get the concerned region by checking the observation line of the eyes. It is of high value in scientific research and commercial applications. And it has been widely applied in advertising analysis, web design, disability aids patients and psychological analysis. It is also one of the key techniques of intelligent interface between human and computerized devices due to its natural and intuitive fashion.The technique of eye-gaze tracking, based on image processing and pupil center and cornea reflection method(PCCR), has made considerable headway in recent years. However, owing to that it is also a developing technique and the characters of the eye movement, there are still two main problems preventing the use of eye gaze tracking in actual applications.(1) Low tracking accuracy;(2) Most system have low tolerance for head movement and require the users to hold their heads unnaturally still.To solve these problems, on the basis of a single camera eye-gaze tracking system in our laboratory, we introduce an eye gaze estimation method based on stereo vision. In this thesis such achievements have been achieved:(1) Solve the problems of synchronization and real-time in stereo cameras system;(2) Make the Eye gaze tracking system get ride of user-dependent parameters by using stereo vision technique;(3) A point of gaze(POG) correction algorithm,which uses weighted correction factors from calibration procedure, is introduced.
