Design And Implementation Of Online Examination System For Tieling Health Professional College

Examination is an important step in the teaching process. Examination, on one hand, can help to test students'mastery of knowledge. On the other hand, it provides instructors with solid basis of teaching analysis. Because of the many steps involved in traditional examination, such as question setting, text paper printing, exam site and exam marking arrangement, traditional examination is time-consuming and inefficient. What's more, the subjectivity of artificial marking has a negative effect on examination impartiality. As internet technology enjoys bigger and bigger popularity in the education field, there are more and more advantages of online examination system which applies modern information technology frame.This thesis research is to design and develop an online examination system for Tieling Health Professional College, so that the college administrators, instructors and students can take exams online anytime and anywhere. The system involves programming technique of ASP.NET. The backend database is built on SQL SERVER 2005 and applies the popular B/S structure. It brings together online examination module, user information management module, exam subject module, exam question module, instructor department management module, question setting and maintenance module and test paper management module.The thesis starts with the development background, demand and application meaning of the system. Next, it focuses on the design and application. After presenting the application goal, application idea and system analysis, the design part puts forward the overall design scheme, provides detailed explanation of system function design and database design, and introduces the application method for each of the module. At last, through the multi-faceted test, the thesis points out the disadvantages of the system and provides an objective assessment of the system ultimate result.
