The world and society is growing in a rapid speed, and so is computer application. Computer has become part of our lives for quite a long time. With the widely usage of Internet and information technology, mobile devices become more and more popular among university students. Correspondingly, campus media, which students use to receive information from the campus and to communicate among themselves and with others who are outside of the campus, will be needed. As the amount of information increasing, a good, light campus media application that can combine Internet technology and campus media is definitely prerequisite.The Android-based campus media integration platform is a mobile application built for android cellphones. Not only can it satisfy the teaching purpose of universities and the needs of campus students, but also competitive in the application world. During the development process, we brought Android, LBS, SQLite, PHP, MySQL, Apache and Apache ab into the application, and used MVC module when we design it. The code of the application is in line with the standard of high cohesion, low coupling, modularity and encapsulation.The mainly implemented features of this application are: Campus Information, campus navigation, educational systems around the campus, online quizzes, lectures and books Lok queries. According to the software design method, we analyzed the needs of the project, and found out the actual needs of the project; Determine the usage of client/server architecture and MVC design pattern. We then determined the project scope, project development platform requirements, project non-functional requirements and functional requirements. Secondly, according to the needs of the project analysis, we defined the project operating environment, project structure, project processes and data exchange, then we designed the overall structure of the project, communication protocols, database, and server & client architecture in detail. Then, according to the project design, we implemented the client, server and overall project framework. Finally, we tested the application with systematic testing which includes server stress tests and client performance test. The test results show that the application fully achieved the desired goals and works well in campus daily life.
