In the development of TV industry, analog television has been replaced by digital television, from which people's life habit changed greatly. The way to obtain TV information resources becomes more interactive. User can acquire personalized experience through the expansion and upgrading of television's functions. As a new open product, Smart TV overcomes the disadvantages of traditional television box, such as inconvenient operations and the hidden danger of circuit safety. However, at the aspect of data security, smart TV has some deficiencies which may cause the leakage of user data.In addition, in terms of the upgrade of television's system, the way of local upgrade operation is inconvenient and the plan of networked upgrade is not perfect, which usually leads to the failure of system upgrade due to the instability of upgrade software. This thesis is focusing on two aspects, namely how to guarantee the security of data for users and the safety as well as reliability of television system upgrade.The main work of this paper is to study and design the system plan of networked upgrade platform for smart TV based on the research of encryption algorithm at the aspect of data security, the principle of android system and related software and hardware platforms. Two aspects are included in this scheme, the system design of message authentication function for television terminal and the system design of television system upgrade.In order to keep the security of television data, a scheme for the authentication of television is put forward in this thesis. The principle of SHA-1and MD5algorithm is deeply researched and applied to protect the television terminal data, as well as the theory of network communication protocol, the hash algorithm of MD5and the mechanism of message authentication. According to the shortcomings and deficiencies of local upgrade mode and networked upgrade scheme existed, a new design is proposed, and the design of upgrade platform which is stable and reliable for the television system is realized.Television system can be upgraded effectively by the platform of networked upgrade designed in this thesis, and the design of message authentication function operates well, which can not only protect the television data, but also realize the function of message authentication from television to server. As a result, Download task of system upgrade file can be accomplished and the process of system upgrade can be completed once the television is message authorized. The data is normal during the process of communication between television and remote server, and the upgrade software is stable and reliable.The scheme of networked upgrade platform for television system designed in this thesis has been applied to some products of smart TV, such as Toshiba and Haier, and has achieved a good commercial effect.
