Experimental teaching is an important part of high school's biological teaching.To strengthen biological experimental teaching,is to adapt to the needs of the new curriculum reform,the fundamental way to implement quality education,and ultimately an important guarantee to promote the all-round development of students and improve biological science literacy.By using questionnaire survey,documentary research and interview method,an investigation and study on the present situation of experimental teaching was carried out around high school in Ganzhou,Jiangxi Province.The result shows that the current situation of experimental teaching is not optimistic.Main problems are manifested as follows: backward teaching concepts,lack of attentions,experimental conditions and funds,limited classes,unitary teaching methods,incomplete development of teaching resources,and assessment system which needs to be improved urgently,etc.Based on the present situation,the virtual experiment is tried to study so as to supplement the shortage of experimental teaching.Virtual experiment can effectively promote the biological experimental teaching,since it has the advantages of virtuality,interactivity,openness,security,etc.With the deep-going research on information technology and curriculum integration,virtual experiment is widely applied in teaching.Based on the platform of Flash,virtual experiment cases were designed and developed.Then,an empirical research was carried out from September 2016 to February 2017.In the research,experimental groups and control groups were established.The control group did not use virtual experiment,while in the experimental group,virtual experiment was selectively used according to the requirement of the experiment.By formulating relevant assessment scale,the assessment of virtual experiment's application effect in high school biological experimental teaching was carried out from the three dimensions: Learning enthusiasm,knowledge understanding and experimental skills.The result shows that the application of virtual experiment in high school biological experimental teaching is good.Firstly,in the aspects of learning enthusiasm,students generally accept and approve the virtual experiment,and also quickly adapt to the operation of virtual experiment.What's more,the virtual experiment can effectively stimulate interests in learning,provide help for learning,and enhance the confidence to complete the experiment.Secondly,in the aspects of knowledge understanding,virtual experiment can help students understand the principle of the experiment accurately and consolidate learned knowledge.Finally,in the aspects of experimental skills,virtual experiment can significantly improve the skill levels of students.The study indicates virtual experiment has different teaching effects by different operational ways.Compared with using virtual experiment individually,combining virtual experiment with real experiment and using it in biological experiment teaching,significant increase the understanding of knowledge and enhance the effect of experimental skills.Consequently,it is one of the ways to perfect current experimental teaching to expand the application scope of virtual experiment,enrich its application methods,and broaden its carrier.
