With the continuous promotion of the new round of educational reform in China and the promulgation and application of the new "high school geography curriculum standard",higher requirements for high school geography education have been put forward.The basic concept of cultivating the essential geographical core literacy of modern citizens is emphasized in the new curriculum standard issued.The core literacy of the geography subject in the new curriculum standard includes four parts: the concept of human land coordination,comprehensive thinking,regional cognition and geographical practice.Therefore,as a new era of geography education,carry out the inquiry activities in the classroom teaching,as far as possible to provide students with the way of self exploration,cooperation,mutual learning,to arouse students' interest in learning,to better grasp the knowledge of geography,geography thinking to solve practical problems,to meet the diverse needs of students,improve the quality of life.This study is divided into six parts: the First chapter introduces the background,purpose,significance and main research methods of this study.The second chapter analyzes the rationality and maneuverability of this study in the light of relevant literature at home and abroad,educational theory and research results.The third chapter discusses the basic elements of education that may affect geographically exploratory activities.The fourth chapter is to comb and analyze the results of teacher interview and student questionnaire,and to construct the SWOT matrix.The fifth chapter puts forward the corresponding teaching guidance strategy according to the analysis of the combination of various elements in the SWOT matrix.The sixth chapter,referring to the corresponding teaching guidance strategy and combining high school geography curriculum,writes the curriculum design of the case of geography inquiry activity.The innovation of this study lies in the application of SWOT analysis to the analysis of students' questionnaire and the results of teachers' interviews,and the corresponding conclusions are drawn.SWOT analysis,namely situational analysis,is a way to analyze internal and external advantages and disadvantages of enterprises in management science,integrate internal resources and external environment,and guide companies' strategic decisions scientifically.Based on SWOT analysis,this study combs and analyzes all aspects of influencing factors of inquiry activities in high school geography classroom,constructs SWOT matrix,and puts forward corresponding teaching guidance strategies.The study shows that high school geography teachers should attach importance to students' existing experience,cognitive level and knowledge reserves in order to better implement the geographic inquiry activities.Teachers should rely on the information platform,flexibly apply advanced teaching technology and teaching means,strengthen cooperation with other geography teachers,improve their teaching level continuously,and gradually form a unique teaching style.
