With the advent of mass higher education,the quality is crising.People pay more attention to students ' development than non-external input into school,and academic outcomes is the core indicator of student development.As an important component of the evaluation of higher education,academic assessment has an important influenc to improve students ' development.For these reasons,this paper focus on studying the academic evaluation based on the students ' academic gains.This study used random sampling method.Respondents are 273 students in 2011 grade from a college,whose self-reported credit and academic gains of 4 year is surveyde and studide.Comparing their four year credit and gains trends validates the need to reform the current existing academic evaluationin in China's universities.Then,descriptive method analysis present situation of current academic evaluation in colleges and universities.Finally,using multiple linear regression explore the relationship between academic academic assessment and academic gains.The results of this study indicate that one the hand,there is different from the developmental trend of academic credits and learning outcomes.The trend of four-years credit is straightly upward straight upward trend,but that of academic outcomes shows a "decline" in grade 2.On the another hand,the results presents the existing status of academic assessment in university.Evaluation feedback mainly focuses on results and scores,ignoring the development of students f;In terms of evaluation content,most students pay more attation on tests and homework than understanding and application of knowledge;Course requirements as one part of accacimic assesment emphasize the integration and reference of documents,neglecting not only their views put forward by the students but also cooperation between teachers and students.In terms of evaluation methods,it is major in single evaluation way,such as final exams,Ignoring the diversity of evaluation way(the paper,the report,the project,the thedesign,the operation,and so on).Thirdly,the evaluation feedback,the course requirements and the evaluation content has positive influence on development of students,but the evaluation way is negative;Evaluation feedback has most influence on the outcomes of the values and the ability.The course requirements has most influence on the outcomes of the ability.The evaluation contenthas most influence on the outcomes of the values.The evaluation way has negtive influence on the ability.It has positive influence on the development of students that discussing with teachers or sutdents,citing relevant literature and data,and puting forward views,geting enough feedback to tell me how you will do to solve the problem,only studying the content involved in the exam,and the diverty of ways.Therefore,in order to guide and motivate students to develop best,the academic evaluation concept should focus on the development of students.And the academic evaluation concept should be understood and used.Also,a variety of assesment ways is indispensable.Of course,the development of evaluation feedback should be attention to.
