Senior high school students' English learning motivation greatly influences students' English language ability;specific incentive strategies of English learning motivation are badly in need for senior high middle school English teaching.In this paper,based on the current situations of bad English classroom teaching effect and senior high school students' weak English learning motivation,under the direction of Second Language Learning Motivation Theory,we deduce that English teachers should adopt several incentive strategies to inspire students' English learning interests,to emphasize students individual difference,to create a good motivation environment,to establish a harmonious relationship with students,to guide students to have correct attribution,to provide opportunities for students to succeed.On this basis,two parallel classes as Class One and Class Two of Grade One in Xinyang Senior High School are selected as experimental participants.In Class one,the English teacher will not adopt the incentive strategies mentioned above,whereas the English teacher will adopt these incentive strategies in Class Two.By the experiment results,it is proved that students' English remarks are obviously improved a lot after the use of incentive strategies.Methods of questionnaire survey,interviewed with some students and English teachers,testing and data analysis are adopted in this research;then it is found that there are seven categorized factors affecting senior high school students' learning motivation as situational motivation,intrinsic interest motivation,social responsibility motivation,going abroad motivation,personal development motivation,achievement motivation and information media motivation,all of which influence students' English achievements to different degrees;it is a supplementary evidence to prove the necessity of stimulating senior high students' English learning motivations.At the same time,we find that gender and parents' educational background are also attributed to individual differences in English learning motivation.Therefore,we hope that teachers,parents and students work together to improve senior high school students English learning motivation,and improve students' English achievements.
