Great change has taken place in the promotion of quality educaton and the collgeentrance exam system in Shandong Province, however, the English in Shandong collegeentrance exam score has not changed, still 150 points. Since I have made an attempt to carryout a series of reforms in the English classroom in Weifang No.1 Middle School where Iam working. Many effective measures are taken to arouse the students’ classroom learningenthusiasm. In the past several teaching years I have carrieed out many open classes both atour school and other places, which is well thought of by some experienced teachers and someresearch staff in Weifang. I believe that the ultimate goal of language learning is to apply it tolife, making it a tool to communicate with others. Therefore, to improve students’ classroomlearning enthusiasm should be put at the first place.As it can enable students to speak with themouth, and let English play the original features of itself. To really achieve the goal, weshould start it from the English class, enhancing students’learning enthusiasm. I will carryout the experiment through my own teaching practice, together with a questionnaire about thestimulation and some English learning motivation theory to research how to mobilize thestudents in the classroom . I believe that the research of this topic would have an importantinfluence on senior high school English teaching and also have a positive role in promotingsenior English teaching. Outline of the Basic Education Curriculum Reform and MiddleSchool English Curriculum Standards pay special attention to the role of the teacher’sguidance, The aim of the regulation is to fully mobilize the initiative and enthusiasm of thestudents’ learning. It also points out the teacher’s true responsibility is to guide and helpstudents how to learn not just cultivate language. To arouse their enthusiasm and initiative, itrequires teachers to make a careful study of the students’physiological and developmentalcharacteristics seriously . What’s more, teachers should also study the teaching methods toeliminate the psychological barriers on students’learning, Teachers should have enoughpatience to help those who have trouble learning English well and make the full use of thestrenths of different students, what’s more, teachers shouldn’t ignore those who are poor inacademic achievement but treat all the students equal. As teachers, we should also encouragestudents to make great progress and help them to develop good study habits so as to form an effective learning strategy. So we are supposed to set out to do the work from the Englishclass, and actively explore the students’ enthusiasm. Making sure the English classroom fullof the vitality of life is our primary aim. Of course we also hope students can achieveexcellent results while allowing the students to the college entrance examination, Meanwhileteachers can learn how to organize their English class and find a more effective way to teachstudents.These are the purpose and significance of selecting the topic as my writing field.With the implementation of quality education , English classes have decreased a lot thanbefore while the teaching content has not decreased, but increase in the demand. In view ofthis situation, a preliminary study and research is to be carried out about the task of teachingon how to stimulate students’ positive motivation for learning English to improve Englishclass efficiency. I hope that through this study to identify effective classroom teachingmethods and strategies to stimulate the motivation of high school students learning English.Einstein once said: "The interest is the best teacher." The interest is a powerful weapon of thestudents to gain knowledge. In the English class, English teachers should make good use of avariety of conditions to stimulate students’interest so as to fully mobilize the enthusiasm ofstudents’ learning. Students need a happy, positive and confident high school English classsuroundings to enable students to acquire knowledge within the limited time at English class.In our country, we are conducting a series of class teaching reform, a very important aspect ishow to stimulate the interest of the students’ English class learning.In this paper I strive to use a variety of research methods, questionnaire survey andinterviews to identify the impact of high school students English learning motivation factors,according to the findings and results of the analysis of data , some practicable measures andmethods on cultivating and stimulating students English learning motivation are to come up.This thesis focuses mainly on six major aspects to discuss the topic of Engllish learningmotivaton. The first part of the paper is the introduction, at the current stage the basicoverview of high school English teaching in China. With the advancement of qualityeducation and and the development of economy and society, English plays an increasinglyimportant role in social life. A large part of high school students in high school began to loseinterest in learning English under the backround of Chinese environment, So choosing thetopic of the high school English learning motivation research becomes more popular and meaningful. The second part, we chiefly focus on foreign language learning motivationresearch theory abroad and the theory of English learning of China, together with the briefanallysis of language theory.. The third part is the survey of the classroom study of Englishlearning motivation, some highlights include the steps of the research methods and analysisof classroom teaching strategies and experimental data. At last the author figured outstudents’Engllish learning motivation factors in high senior school and make a specificanalysis of the factors. The fourth part concerns the inspiration and advice from theexperiment. By analyzing the motivation factors, obtaining the sense of English learningmotivation of high school students in English learning and teaching.The last part focuses onthe stratergies we learnt from the analysis of the survey.The above is some basic content ofmy paper.
