Research On The Supply-sidereform Path Of Continuing Education In Colleges And Universities

"Supply-side reform" becomes a frequent vocabulary in the new normal stage of China's economy and it may exist for a longer time,supply-side reformhas great instructive significance to the continuing education reform in colleges and universitiesthough its origination is economic field.Continuing education plays avery important role for colleges and universities in serving the social functions,it performs some social responsibility like providing talent support andintellectual support for economic social development,and it is also an effective way for human beings to implement the all-round development.Along with the economic social development and the accelerated process of higher education popularization,great progress is obtained in the long historical period for the continuing education in colleges and universities whichin the specific historical stage plays an irreplaceable role.However,there are still many potential problems and development bottlenecks which blocked the healthy and sustainable development for the continuing education during this kind of rapid development,for example,it's difficult for continuing education in colleges and universities to meet the demands for high quality talents and diverse talents,and the demands forbetter education resources from public.Based on the above analysis,from the perspective of supply-side reform,this paper explores the significance and connotation of the supply-side reform,analyses the problems in current situation of continuing education in colleges and universities through investigation with combination of empirical research,discusses the supply-side reform path of continuing educationwith theoretical basis and according topractical experience,and provides references and guidance inpromoting the reform development of continuing education in colleges and universities.This paper which includes six partsfocuses on subject of "the reform path of continuing education in colleges and universities".The first part introduces the research background and research significance,summarizes the currentresearch situation at home and abroadin continuing education field,analyses the current subject,contents and trends,compares the methods and perspectives,and provides abundant basis for the research feasibility.Meanwhile,it expounds the basic points,methods and innovations in the subject research.The second part defines the concepts related to the subject researchin current situation,extends the concept of continuing education and higher education in colleges and universities,proposes the corresponding theories and connotations for the supply-side reform of continuing educationon the basis ofsome related theory of supply-side reform,and provides the necessary theoretical basis for the subject research.The third part elaborates the motivation of the supply-side reform of the continuing education in colleges and universities from external and internal sides,the former originates from the development requirement of the new era and the latter originates from the inevitable choice,and provides abrand new direction for the further study of the supply-side reform path.Part Four investigates and analyses of the current situation of the continuing education taking some colleges and universities as investigation object,and provides empirical evidence for the supply-side problemthrough analysing the data which is got from the investigations to the questionnaire and interviewsto learners and managers of the continuing education,the research data is then combed and analysed.Part Five states the supply-side problems of the continuing education in colleges and universities,analyses the problems via the theoretical basis combined with practical experience,and clarifies the reform pathproposed in the following chapter;Part VI puts forward thesupply-side reform of the continuing education in colleges and universities,it is explained in ideas and initiatives aspects so as to realize the purpose of this research,that is to provide suggestions for the reform development of the continuing education in colleges and universities;The last part summarizes the above research,states the limitation and indicates the expectation.
