| As a new group of cities,rural freshmen who need to complete the transformation of the local society to the modern city,and the conversion from the middle school field to the university field.In order to achieve the purpose of intergrading into the new college life,the individual must reconstruct the interaction with outside word and form the appropriate thinking,behavior and values gradually,otherwise,there will be a lot of obstacles to adapt into the new college life.The research which understanding the current situation of school adaptation of the rural freshmen,not only beneficial to the self-identification among that particular group.Furthermore,it will contribute to the development of College Freshmen Education.This research taken 830 freshmen in 2015 grade from the 6 universities in Wuhan as the research objects,and focused on the adaptability of the rural freshmen,by means of questionnaire and interview as the research method,their lives,development status and adaptive problems are exposed,and then dig out the deep-seated reasons.Therefore,some strategies to improve the adaptability of rural freshmen are proposed in the end.According to the results of the questionnaire survey,we get the following characteristics: the school adaptability of the rural freshmen is in the middle level,the economic adaptability,environmental adaptability and role adaptability were the lowest.Through the independent sample T test,it was found that there were statistically significant differences in gender,single child and class cadre factors among the rural freshmen.Through the analysis of single factor variance,there were significant differences between different family sources and different colleges and universities.According to the results of interview,we found out that there are three adaptation problems for rural freshmen,includes financial constraints,unable to adapt to unfamiliar environment and lack of social experience.For the financial constraints,it involves the pinch in food,clothes,travel and daily expenses austerity.For unable to adapt to unfamiliar environment,it manifested in the individual performance without a sense of belonging,heterogeneous culture among different groups and the lack of academic capital.The lack of social experience is manifested in the experience of being deceived.We think the causes of the above problems is the lack of economic capital,urban or college field and habitus out of step,intergenerational transmission of cultural capital and self-cognitive bias.The paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to improve the school adaptation of rural freshmen.The rural freshmen should form correct self-cognition,reshape the individual’s self-confidence.Colleges and universities should try to establish a scientific and reasonable funding information docking system;attaching importance to the non-economic assistance of “recessive weakness”;optimize the campus environment,create a spirit of co-ownership,attention to individual differences,and in a variety of ways to carry out the freshmen entrance education. |
