After the freshmen of rural university entered the University, they changed from rural field to urban field. We must integrate the benign interpersonal interaction with the surrounding environment to form a harmonious value concept and behavior model, otherwise there will be many adaptability obstacles. To study this group,we can find the differences between them and non rural college freshmen by understanding their interpersonal communication and school adaptation, and explore the mechanism of internal interpersonal communication ability and external college support on Freshmen’s adaptability, which is helpful to help them successfully complete the connection between high and high school, adapt to college life, and also contribute to college freshmen’s entrance education We should promote the development of education equity. This paper studies the adaptability of rural college freshmen by using the interpretative mixed research method.First of all, this paper makes a statistical analysis on the interpersonal communication, college support, school adaptation status and adaptation problems of rural university freshmen, and makes a comparison between the two groups of rural and non rural university freshmen in order to understand the adaptation status of rural university students.Secondly,it uses multiple linear regression model to explore the influence of interpersonal communication ability and college support on the adaptability of rural university freshmen Then, according to the analysis results of quantitative research,we draw up an interview outline for qualitative research, and explain the results of qualitative research. Finally,we put forward some suggestions to improve the school adaptability of rural freshmen Relevant suggestions. From the comparison of interpersonal skills, perceived institutional support and adaptability between rural freshmen and non rural freshmen,we can see that: in terms of interpersonal skills, rural freshmen are significantly lower than non rural freshmen in three dimensions of interpersonal relationship establishment, conflict control and emotional support;in terms of perceived institutional support, there is no significant difference between rural freshmen and non rural freshmen In terms of Freshmen’s adaptability, rural freshmen are significantly lower than non rural freshmen in learning adaptability and social interaction adaptability. From the perspective of Freshmen’s interpersonal skills and college support,we can see the differences of adaptability between rural freshmen and non rural freshmen.Generally speaking, interpersonal skills have a greater impact on the adaptability of rural freshmen, and college support has a greater impact on non rural freshmen. The specific impact of different dimensions:(1)in terms of psychological adaptability, the impact of interpersonal skills and institutional support on non rural freshmen is greater than that of rural freshmen.(2)In terms of University attachment, interpersonal skills have a greater impact on rural freshmen, and college support has a greater impact on non rural freshmen.(3)In terms of life adaptability, interpersonal skills have a greater impact on rural freshmen, and college support has a greater impact on non rural freshmen.(4)In terms of learning adaptation, interpersonal skills have a greater impact on rural freshmen, and college support has a greater impact on non rural freshmen.(5)In terms of social adaptability, interpersonal skills have a greater impact on rural freshmen, and college support has a greater impact on non rural freshmen. From the qualitative research results, the root causes of interpersonal communication and adaptability problems of rural university freshmen are as follows: the interpersonal relationship building ability of rural university freshmen is significantly lower than that of non rural university freshmen because of the passive communication caused by the economic gap;the conflict control ability, emotional support ability and learning adaptability of rural university freshmen are significantly lower than that of non rural university freshmen The difference between rural university freshmen and non rural university freshmen is due to the lack of cultural capital;the social adaptability of rural university freshmen is significantly lower than that of non rural university freshmen because of the inferiority complex caused by their poor symbolic capital.Interpersonal skills have a greater impact on the adaptability of rural university freshmen, and college support has a greater impact on the adaptability of non-rural university freshmen. The first is the demand difference caused by the different "habits" of rural and non-rural university students.Rural university freshmen hope to achieve deep-seated autonomous learning through "student student interaction" and "student teacher interaction" in interpersonal communication The second is the demand difference caused by the different development stages of the rural freshmen and the non rural freshmen. The social needs of the rural freshmen have not been met,and they are eager to meet the needs through interpersonal communication. The non rural freshmen are in the stage of respect and self realization, and they are eager to obtain social status through the support of the institutions; The third is the demand difference caused by the different degree of "integration" between rural and non-rural university freshmen.Rural university freshmen have not yet fully integrated with the school field, and interpersonal skills can help them integrate faster.Non rural university students have a high degree of integration in the field and a higher degree of support for colleges. Finally, some suggestions are put forward to improve the adaptability of rural freshmen. In view of the problem of insufficient economic capital,we should establish an effective reward and subsidy system to help rural university freshmen make up for the fading out of interpersonal communication caused by economic difficulties;in view of the problem of insufficient cultural capital,we should pay attention to the non economic assistance to rural university freshmen to help them overcome the disadvantage of cultural capital;in view of the problem of insufficient symbolic capital,we should pay attention to the education of rural university freshmen The mental health guidance of freshmen can help them to enhance their self-confidence and overcome their inferiority complex;in view of the weak adaptability of rural freshmen, colleges and universities should optimize the campus environment, create a multi-cultural harmonious symbiotic atmosphere, and help rural freshmen and non rural freshmen interact and integrate with each other;at the same time, they should also pay attention to individual differences and carry out entrance guidance to help rural freshmen overcome their inferiority complex Low self-esteem,adapt to college life.
