| Backgrounds Population issue is a major livelihood issue related to China’s comprehensive,coordinated and sustainable development.The policy of family planning has been practiced in China for more than 30 years,resulting in a gender imbalance and the aging of the country’s population.To reverse the accumulation of the effect of the old family planning policy,our country developed a series of population policies from November 2011 to October 2015 to promote balanced development of the population and delay the ageing process.Objective To research the bearing desire of second-child and its affecting factors under the universal two-child policy to promote effective population policies,to predict the newborn population and evaluate the existing healthcare resources in Keqiao,Shaoxing City.Methods Using face-to-face questionnaire survey,select eight representative towns in Keqiao,and choose two representative communities in each town,to investigate the bearing desire of second-child and its affecting factors of 20 to 49 years married people of childbearing age.Epidata3.1 are used to establish a questionnaire database,and SPSS 19.0 to statistics and analysis the data.X±S are used to describe the average level,constituent ratio to the internal composition and rate to the occurrence probability of counting data.Analysising the affecting factors of second-child bearing desire with chi-square test and binary Logistic regression.Results 1.Among the 612 respondents,255 have had two children,accounting for 41.7%.131 expressed their willingness to have a second child,accounting for 21.4%.86 decide not to have the second children,accounting for 14.1%,while 22.9%(140)still hesitate to have a second child.The rate of the people who had a second-child willing is 63.1%of the total,and 36,69%among those who have not yet had a second child.2.the average of the expected children number is 1.9±0.56 among the 612 respondents,in which 71.9%want to have two children,69.9%of people expect to children aged between 3～5 years old,50.3%don’t care their children’s gender,36.4%wish their children could be both son and daughter.The sex of the first child have no effect on the sexual orientation.3.Age,culture level,professional type,the average daily work time,whether the only child for object,family structure,marriage age,childbearing age eight factors related to the bearing desire of second-child,the differences between groups have statistical significance.Take age as a corrective factor,a binary logistic regression analysis is performed in 8(P<0.10)factors,all of the eight factors have significant impact on the bearing desire of second-child(P<0.05),4.The bearing desire of second-child presents the inverted u-shaped distribution with age growing,The OR value is 2.131("30～" age group comparing with" 20～" age group)、2.073("35～" age group comparing with" 20-" age group);The higher cultural level,the less willing to have a second child,The OR values are 0.505、0.335、0.203 respectively(high school、junior college、undergraduate and above diploma comparing with junior high school and below diploma respectively).Farmers have the highest bearing desire of second-child,and that of personnel in government institutions are the lowest The OR values respectively are 1.816,4.543,2.139,1.816(workers,farmers,household chores and unemployment,individual and business comparing with personnel in government institutions),people who work eight hours a day have lower bearing desire of second-child,the OR value is 0.556(people who work eight hours a day comparing with who work more than eight hours a day).people who are the one-child or both sides of husband and wife are not the one-child would prefer to have two children,the OR values are 2.2(the one-child comparing with not the one-child),2.119(both husband and wife are not one-child comparing with both husband and wife are one-child).The older marriage age or childbearing age,the less willing to have a second child,the OR values are 0.349 and 0.172(married at "25～"、"30-" groups comparing with "20～"age group respectively),0.364 and 0.151(gave birth to first child at"25～"、"30～"groups comparing with "20～"age group respectively).Whose first child are girls are more likely to have a second child,the OR value is 1.436.5.Of the 386 people who plan to have second-child or already have two children,50.5%think that "one child is too lonely",21.9%just like children,and want 2 children,14.5%hope to have both son and daughter.In 226 people who clearly do not intend to have second-child or haven’t decide whether to have second-child,24.3%think " only one child can be better cultivated ",23.5%think that the cost of raising children is too high,17.7%think that" raise a child is too tired".Conclusions 1.The rate of the people who had a second-child willing is 63.1%of the total,and 36.69%among those who have not yet had a second child2.The average of the expected children number is 1.9±0.56.Most people are expected to have 2 children without a policy limit,at least 1,up to 5.3.Most people expect their children aged between 3～5 years,there was no obvious preference for the children’s gender.4.towns,gender,household registration,family per capita income,religion,cultural degree,mode of production of the first child,first child’s primary caregivershe have no statistical significant influence one the bearing desire of second-child.5.The bearing desire of second-child presents the inverted u-shaped distribution with age growing.the higher cultural level,the less willing to have a second child.Farmers have the highest bearing desire of second-child,and that of personnel in government institutions is the lowest.People who work eight hours a day have lower bearing desire of second-child.The older marriage age or childbearing age,the less willing to have a second-child.Whose first child was a girl are more likely to have a second child.6.The primary reason for the willingness of second-child is to consider that how their children can grow and develop more healthily. |
