Indonesia has the most overseas Chinese in the world.In recent years,with the economic development between China and Indonesia,the exchanges between the two countries have become increasingly frequent,and more and more Chinese teachers and volunteers have been sent to Indonesian Chinese class,As Chinese teachers have little knowledge of Indonesian students,and Indonesian students have their own characteristics,study on Indonesian students' problem behaviors in Chinese class is particularly important.The author found some problem behaviors by reading a lot of literature and research data,handing out questionnaires in classes,and teaching in person and attending other teachers' classes.The author put forward some strategies to cope with the problem behaviors,and achieved some results.Based on the investigation and study on the Confucius Institute at Hashan University,the author observed,recorded and analyzed the students ' problem behaviors in Chinese class,carried out an in-depth study on the five Chinese teaching sites at Hashan University,handed out questionnaires to the students and the teachers,so as to explore the causes of the problem behaviors and put forward corresponding effective strategies.Through questionnaire analysis,this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)The problem behaviors of Chinese class at High School of Indonesian Hashan University are universal,which interferes with normal teaching.(2)The problem behaviors of Chinese class at High School of Indonesian Hashan University include resistant problem behaviors such as being late and absent,disruptive problem behaviors such as interrupting teachers and changing seats freely,undisciplined problem behaviors such as playing mobile phone,sleeping and sitting wrongly;hostile problem behaviors such as quarrelling and fighting noisily as well as recessive problem behaviors such as absence of mind.(3)Causes of these problem behaviors in the Chinese class of Indonesian Hashan University include uncontrollable external causes such as school institutional arrangements(for instance,running in the morning and prayer)and Indonesian bilingualism as well as controllable internal causes such as students' weak learningmotivation and poor learning habits.(4)In this paper,the author put forward corresponding strategies for copying with controllable internal causes,such as making teaching contents more interesting,introducing modern China as well as Chinese history and culture to enhance the students learning motivation,and redeveloping the students' learning habits through classroom teaching.
