In recent years,the use of English game teaching in primary schools has become more and more extensive,especially since the implementation of the new curriculum reform,the cultivation of students’ learning interest has become more and more attention of teachers and students.The game with a combination of teaching to cultivate students’ interest in learning,students’ self-confidence plays a vital role,it can not only improve learners’ ability to use English,but also stimulate the students’ potential.Classroom games can create a rich language environment for students,and enable students to learn English in a relaxed atmosphere,and effectively improve language communication ability.Game teaching can also train students’ imagination,creativity and the spirit of unity and cooperation.But at the present stage,because of the difference of students’ language learning and the quality of the teachers themselves,there are many problems in the teaching of spoken English in primary school.This study aims to analyze the application of game teaching method in primary school English classes,find out the problems existing in the application of game pedagogy,and propose corresponding solutions,to help the first primary school English teachers more to solve some of the confusion encountered in the game teaching.In this study,the use of literature,questionnaire,interviews and observation methods and other research methods,the primary school English classroom teaching methods in the implementation of the actual situation of investigation and research.And the questionnaires and the interview results and observation results are analyzed in detail from three aspects,from the three aspects of teachers,students and resources,this study sums up the problems arising from the implementation of primary school English game teaching method.The problems with teachers are: the game for the game,the lack of attention to the language of the students;teachers can’t pay attention to all the students;The game is complex and the rules are not clear.The problem existing in the students is: In the course of the game,students’ order is poor,classroom discipline is disorder.The problems of resources are: lack of resources and environment to carry out game teaching.The game teaching method in primary school English classroom in the implementation process of the emergence of these problems,this study combines the relevant theories and specific classroom cases,and puts forward four strategies to solve the problem: to improve the teachers’ teaching skills;design scientific and effective classroom games;strengthen classroom management,maintain the good order of the class independent development;game teaching resources and the environment.
