Chinese characters are not only the symbols to record the rich culture in our country,but also are the important tools used in daily communication.Non-standard Chinese characters writing will unavoidably hinder the heritance and development of the Chinese traditional culture,affect the normal communication between people and further weaken the supplementary role of characters in daily communication.The annual examination syllabus clearly requires students to write standard Chinese characters,the 2017 Shandong entrance examination also requires that students should recognize and write the standard Chinese characters in the application of language,classical Chinese reading,and writing,and the competency level is “A”.From those above requirements,it can be seen that writing standard Chinese characters is a basic skill for senior students.However,nowadays,quite a number of senior students make many unconscious mistakes in their understanding,writing and application of the standard Chinese characters,among which,writing is the worst.For example: wrongly written characters frequently appeared in the dictation of phrases and Chinese classical poems,and lack of standard,correct and neat writing on papers.Based on the writing investigation in Fushan No.1 middle school,this paper conducted a detailed research to analyze the reasons and present some effective strategies on how to improve high school students' handwriting by studying the previous literatures,collecting materials and analyzing the texts.This paper can be divided into five chapters.The first part is instruction,mainly introduces the concepts of Chinese characters handwriting,the significance of standard character handwriting,the reasons,present situation and analysis methods of the research.The second part is the present situation of character handwriting in high school.By collecting and analyzing students' Chinese homework and exam papers,this paper studied the present situation and students' attitude towards standard character handwriting.By collecting some Chinese teachers' teaching plans and blackboard writing,this paper also studied the present writing situation of teachers as well as teachers' attitudes to standard handwriting and their teaching situation.Based on the own teaching experiences,the author classified and organized the wrong characters frequently appeared in the dictation of phrases and Chinese classical poems,and analyzed the test papers from the perspective of beautiful handwriting.The third part mainly presents the reasons of the non-standard Chinese character handwriting.Many high schools do not attach enough importance on writing teaching,such as the lack of school curriculum and regular inspections.There are many non-standard Chinese characters in external school environment.Due to the implementation of basic education,many senior students still cannot master the correct writing gestures.Some high school teachers have one-sided views on writing and do not give students a right guide direction.The fourth part presents some effective strategies to improve students' handwriting from the perspective of school and teachers.For one thing,teachers will raise their awareness of ensuring students to write standard characters as well as improve their own writing quality.For another,school will strengthen the emphasis on writing standard Chinese characters,and create a good atmosphere for students.The last part is the conclusion,there are more and more people begin to emphasizing Chinese,and character handwriting and the standard handwriting crisis can be solved in the near future.Part two-four are the core contents of this paper.The research is reasonable and well-documented and all the opinions are illustrated based on lots of teaching cases.
