Calculation is the most applied mathematical knowledge in our daily life.Computational teaching is an important part of elementary school mathematics teaching even though the science and technology developed rapidly.It is important for the formation of mathematical concepts,the acquisition of mathematical conclusions,or the solution of mathematical problems,etc.,which rely on the participation of computational activities.Computational teaching needs to be more conform to the requirements of social development as a basic content for mathematics core literary especially highly praise “core literacy” now.In addition,it should be committed to cultivate rigorous mathematical thinking and special view of mathematics of students.Therefore,especially for the senior students that already had certain basis of calculation and understanding ability in primary school,the study of computation teaching strategy is particularly important.The requirements of computing power in textbooks has been further improved which is significant in improving the quality of mathematics teaching and cultivating the computional capability of students.This is also the inevitable requirement of mathematics education in elementary school.It did a lot of literature research which is related to the elementary school mathematical teaching in this paper,and figured out the main problems existing in senior calculation teaching in primary school from one district of Yan Tai.We analyzed the reasons of the problem and suggested reasonable strategies to solve the problem according to some typical cases.The research methods adopted in this paper include:literature research,questionnaire survey,case study and comparative study.The conclusions of this study are as follow.The following problems are found in the calculation teaching of primary schools in the Z district of Yan Tai: students have no enthusiasm in calculation,be unskilled of the algorithm,lack of estimating consciousness,calculation step is incomplete,etc..However,the teachers adopted monotonous practicing forms and explained the calculation and algorithm in improper ways.In addition,we deeply digged and anaylized the teaching problems during giving lessons through interviews of teachers' and students'.This paper summarizes strategiesfor senior calculation teaching in primary school through the research:(1)Enriching the situation teaching to improve the study interest.(2)Effectively combine the "concepts" and the "skills" to promote the study efficiency of calculation.(3)Teaching accurately to strengthen the foundation of calculation.(4)Innovating the estimation teaching model to improve the interests of students.(5)Developing good calculation habits to strengthen the foundation of calculation.
