With the rapid development of Internet technology,a large number of mobile applications made great progress,and education industry transferred from being offline to online.Therefore,mobile learning applications has a huge space for growth.However,there are many deficiencies in the current development of mobile learning applications,such as homogenization and competitiveness absence.Besides,most of them are content-oriented excessively,ignoring the user's emotion.Learners are disturbed easily by invalid information of interface when using these applications,which makes it difficult for them to immerse in learning process.In addition,mobile learning applications are mostly defective in considering the balance between the user's cognitive level and the difficulty of content,which may result in the ineffectiveness of learning quality.Mobile learning applications are faced with the requirements to enhance user stickiness and improve learning efficiency.This paper,from the perspective of flow theory,takes the application of mobile learning as starting point to create a sustained,pleasant and efficient learning experience for learners.First of all,the paper summarizes the concepts of flow theory and mobile learning application,and then puts forward the feasibility of applying the flow theory to the design of mobile learning.Secondly,design elements based on user dimension are proposed by quantitative and qualitative analyzing of the users of mobile learning applications.Furthermore,on the basis of flow theory,by importing the PAT model and user experience elements,and then integrating the control variables of flow theory,the design model is constructed.This model launches a specific design strategy for learners to create immersive learning scenarios,practical learning goals and clear operating method.Finally,the paper shows the process of applying the theoretical research to an actual design project,and by comparing the product data,it demonstrates the positive effect of the research on the improvement of learning experience.The main research achievements and innovations:integrating the flow theory into the design of mobile learning application and constructing the design method which can improve the user experience effectively and direct the design of practical project successfully.Theory of the paper provides a new way of thinking and systematic support for the future design of such kind of products,and extends the application of flow theory.
