| Visual literacy is a kind of visual ability,which combines the observation and other senses that is produced by observing process.In terms of related theoretical researches,visual literacy consists of three dimensions of the ability that are visual interpretation,visual cognition and visual application.The students’ study environment is full of the image information with the advent of the reading age.In order to adapt to the impact of the times and enhance students’ learning ability in this age,it is essential to develop students’ visual literacy.Using the questionnaire to randomly,600 students from a high are selected school to be done the survey.The current status of high school students’ chemical visual literacy are scientifically surveyed.With using the SPSS to process the data,the status of middle school students’ chemical visual literacy are gained.The results show that students have a certain degree of visual interpretation,but not comprehensive and profound;they can take the initiative to contact visual information in life,but they lack the Positive guide from teachers;they rarely use visual means and lack the visual learning ability;they generally have visual critical ability,but should be further improved and strengthened;their kills of visual expression need to be improved;different gender or different grades of students,their ability of visual literacy are also different.Through the analysis of the survey results,some strategies for cultivating the high school students’ chemistry visual literacy are put forward.First of all,pay attention to the combination of the visual literacy and the essential characteristics of chemistry,including deepening the comprehending of visual information in teaching materials,actively carry out chemical experiments,designing reasonable observation plan.Second,pay attention to student differences,including reasonably planing the training time,improve the training efficiency,cultivating girls’ interest,and encouraging boys to innovate.Third,pay attention to the characteristics of the times,including using the multimedia-assisted to advance chemical teaching to interpret visual culture integration,using the combination of chemistry teaching and modern technology to cultivate the ability of the students’ visual cognition;paying attention to the expression of chemicalimage to cultivate the ability of the students’ visual application.Before that,most of the research on visual literacy focused on the arts.In this paper,the relationship between visual literacy and subject teaching is put forward firstly.And based on teachers ’ classroom teaching,the cultivation strategy of chemistry visual literacy in middle school is studied from the perspective of chemistry teaching. |
