With the rapid development of information technology, more and more visual information impact in our eyes. The era of reading pictures comes. In this era, we must have a ability of reading picture and using pictures to adapt to the needs of the community to survive. However, this ability of reading , understanding, and using visual information needs a long-term training . This gave us a challenge to education: how to train students in visual literacy? According to research, the training of visual literacy can be achieved through the creation of visual literacy courses and subject courses. Through literature research, the curriculum in our country which carried out the study of visual literacy training is few, and most are in arts education. I believe that the training of visual literacy should also enable students to learn how to read, learn and express visual language, so education of visual literacy should be infiltrated to various courses. Therefore, this article has chosen to infiltrate the visual literacy into the education of information technology. So when students learn how to achieve information, use information, develop information, they also improve visual literacy.In this paper, comparative study, literature research, act research, interviews and other research methods are combined. Through the learning of concept and study of education theory, I analyze the feasibility and significance of visual literacy being taught in middle school. Grooming the research literature related to visual literacy,in the reading curriculum in today's information technology standards and survey of the status of information technology in teaching visual literacy, as well as the status of junior high school students based on information technology in teaching middle school visual literacy education in the basic strategy: rely on the basic course platform for the infiltration of visual literacy education; build a unique platform for the development of courses for training of visual literacy; class platform with research, design visual literacy projects. At the same time carried out in practice to try and instructional design through the analysis of cases, middle school based on information technology training courses in the practice of visual literacy model.
