As one of the two big examinations in our country,obviously the high school entrance examination is of vital importance.Besides selecting the talents and infusing the fresh blood for some high schools,it also undertakes the task of evaluating the teaching quality.Reading is the main part of Chinese teaching.Being all-inclusive,modern literature reading occupies a big percentage,only second to the composition.Modern literature reading in the high school entrance examination of Hebei province has been updating and advancing with the times since the curriculum reform,whether in the amount of the test questions or in inspection ability,in the end gradually forming its own style.Beforehand,the author consults many studies related to reading,however,which focuses on the college entrance examination with little attention to the high school entrance exam,especially in Hebei province.This thesis will explore and analyze the features of modern articles reading of Hebei province from the perspective of test type,content inspection and ability and text materials and point out the advantages and disadvantages of the test paper,which concludes the strategies of the teaching guide of Chinese reading and remedies the weakness of other studies.This thesis,based on test questions of modern reading,systematically analyzes the test questions of the recent ten years.It is divided into four chapters.Chapter one briefly introduces that under the background of the further development of reforms,Hebei's high school entrance examination continuously improves and develops.This part also points out the relations between the exam and the teaching.Chapter two has an analysis of Chinese reading test questions of Hebei province from 2008 to 2017,which is the core of research questions.The first section mainly discusses the basic condition of test questions,including the scoring value,the test type and the volume of questions;the second section focuses on the type of questions;the third section explores the content inspection and ability;and the last,from text materials,probes into the characteristics and changes of test questions of modern article reading of Hebei province's high school entrance examination in the past decades.Chapter threeconcentrates on the advantages and disadvantages of test questions of modern literature reading.This part is still interpreted from the previous test types and the volume of questions,content and methods and text materials.Test types focus on the subjective questions,conductive to the inspection of students' thinking,but in the meantime lacking open test questions only with the single test type.And in content inspection and ability,it is student-oriented,proposing the personalized reading and standing out the integrative awareness,but lacking in creativity and appreciation with fixed contents beyond the texts.From the perspective of text materials,it pays much attention to students' lives and inner experience and attaches importance to their feelings,but lacks many non-continuous texts with famous works reading remaining at the stage of memory.It proposes that we should think highly of the students' appreciation and increase the non-continuous texts and that we can use the excellent cases of other provinces and cities for reference.Chapter four mainly introduces some demerits that are fed back to the author from teaching cases of some teachers' reading and the questionnaires.For instance,teachers usually attach importance to the teaching syllabus and ignore the textbooks.They use their own thought to answer the questions instead of the real answers.On the other hand,students have no interest in reading.With this realization,this chapter offers the reasonable teaching proposals.For instance,the teachers should pay attention to Criterion for Curriculum,foster the students' exploration ability and carefully investigate the condition of the students.Correspondingly,this chapter also proposes three teaching strategies on reading and supports the view with the teaching cases.
