Study On The Emotional Support Of The Rural Empty-Nest Elderly By Case Work

Along with the development of China's economy and the improvement of health care,the number of the elderly population has gradually increased and the aging of the population has become increasingly serious.Coupled with acceleration of the urbanization process and change of rural concepts,a large number of young rural labor forces have poured into the city,so the rural empty-nest elderly are increasing.In recent years,social pension,rural medicine and other basic social security are gradually improved in the rural community,and the rural elderly get a certain guarantee in the material with basically solved eating and wearing issues as well as increasingly prominent emotional needs.Based on collected relevant literatures on the rural empty-nest elderly,it can be founded that there are few studies on the emotional support of the rural empty-nest elderly in China.So,the case interference is conducted with the emotional support of the rural empty-nest elderly as a focus,and the author selects an empty – nest old people with serious lack of emotion in his hometown as the case object.Starting from the emotional support of the case,the paper evaluates the emotional needs of the subject.According to the theory of social support for the elderly,the case work method is used to improve the lack of emotional support of the subject from the children,neighbors,friends and village committee.What's more,relevant countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from the perspective of social work.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part,mainly based on the research issue,introduces the research background,purpose and significance,and then makes a literature review for research on the rural empty-nest elderly,emotional support and social work interference.Also,it puts forward the innovation and shortcomings,and then carries out the concept definition on the rural empty-nest elderly and emotional support.The second part,as an analysis of the basic situation and emotional needs of the subject,strengthens the emotional support of the subject from the children,neighbors,friends and village committee with the case work method.The third part summarizes and reconsiders the application of techniques and professional theories in this case,and tries to find out the coincidence of the case work to intervene the rural empty-nest elderly,with countermeasures and suggestions to improve the emotional support of the rural empty-nest elderly.
