The New Curriculum advocates students to integrate multiple study methods involving initiative participation,autonomous cooperation and valiant exploration,which emphasizes the importance of knowledge acquisition and innovation to promote the advancement and development of students.The school is a private senior high one.Based on the characteristics of students and difficulties of education,the school suggests the concept of student-based education(SBE).It involves taking vigorous reforms in class teaching,and highlighting the student-centered and teacher-led teaching pattern to develop and improve the self-study,cooperation and inquiry abilities of students gradually.Following the firm promotion of SBE,I studied the theory of SBE to activate and explore the application of SBE to chemistry teaching in the high school.In the research,I mainly focus on four problems.First,apply SBE in the teaching design of element compounds in senior high school,where the relevant information of element compounds will be introduced.Meanwhile,the situations of Curriculum Reform and the chemistry study of the students in the school are analyzed.Second,explain the theoretical basis of this subject.It is introduced from three aspects,namely the characteristics,the general model and the main strategy of SBE.The third is how to design the teaching of element compounds using the theory of SBE,which is the core of this study.In this part,the design of teaching is introduced from two angles(study plan and class activity)according to my teaching experience.Lastly,embark the research on the evaluation of the whole teaching procedure.The effectiveness of the teaching design under the evaluation guidance of SBE is analyzed.The results indicate that the application of SBE in the teaching design of elemental compounds highlights the student-based learning.Furthermore,this approach arouses the learning students' interests from their real demand,transforms their study style from receptive study to autonomy learning,and achieves better teaching outcomes.
