Based on the reflection on the present situation of teaching & learning element chemical compound in senior chemistry in our school and on the positive respond to the trend of the new curriculum reform, according to the constructivism learning theory, the interaction educational theory and efficient teaching principles, through two years of teaching reflection and practice, the research puts forward some countermeasures for element chemical compound teaching & learning from the following two aspects:1. Guide students to establish strategies aimed at learning element chemical compound by themselves. Promote students to understand and remember the knowledge of element chemical compound by helping them to learn comparing and efficiently remembering strategies; cultivate students' ability of learning chemistry by guiding students to establish strategies of thinking in order and promoting ability construction in learning element chemical compound.2. Teachers establish student-centered classroom teaching strategies scientifically. Promote students to take an active part in learning by enlightening students to take part in reasonably designed learning goals, creating better situation atmosphere, arousing students' interest of exploring and researching, and cultivating students' awareness of reflection, etc.; improve classroom teaching efficiency by properly designing "fore-organizer" of element chemical compound knowledge, making classroom teaching organization and structure optimum, and forming multidimensional- interaction teaching model in teaching & learning element chemical compound, etc.In this research, two natural classes of Senior One in Jiuquan Middle School were chosen as the subjects. Class 6 was the experimental class and Class 18 was the control class. And the author of this thesis spent two years carrying out this action research. The present evaluation, feedback and related data show that the students in the experimental class have advantages over those in the control class in learning strategies shown during the course of learning element chemical compound, in the active participation, communication and cooperation in classroom teaching, and in learning results and ability, etc. This research is practically meaningful as well as valuable.
