Community Attachment Among Low-income Neighbors In Old District

With the process of transforming into an economic power,Chinese city is expanding rapidly.Urbanization provides the urban population with basic living needs such as food,clothing,and living place,brought great wealth for the city as well.It is easy to overlook the immediate poverty presently.In the center of the old district,the low end waiter from the countryside,migrant,unemployed and retired residents are still in low-income state.Society has always been concerned about their living environment and state of life,rather than emotional attachment.And the study on the community attachment of the low-income groups in the old district is just a part of the blank.Based on the reviewed of the related research at home and abroad,and the analyzed of relevant data and research on the urban low-income neighborhoods,this paper mainly conducted the following researches:Firstly,this paper defined the related concepts,put forward the theoretical basis of the study,analyzed the relevant strategies and policies,explored the experience which the research of the community attachment among the old district can learn from.Secondly,we sorted out the evolution process of the urban community,studied the law and characteristics of the community change in the old district,and analyzed the population and the point of the community.Thirdly,Selecting the old city community in Guangzhou,for example,select the old district: Liwan,Yuexiu,Haizhu and the new district: Tianhe,Baiyun as reference,and using SPSS statistical software to do the difference test and regression analysis of sample data.Finally,the paper explained and analyzed the demographic characteristics,the characteristics and influencing factors of the low income neighborhoods in the old district.The results of data analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the evaluation of community attachment between the low-income neighborhoods in the old district.But the physical and social environment factors influence on community attachment of non low-income residents was significantly higher than low-income residents,which indicates that the increasing of the income will affect the related variables of the community attachment.However,there are some differences in the factors of community attachment among low-income neighborhoods.For low-income residents,the sense of community attachment is mainly affected by the community safety factors.For non low-income residents,housing conditions,community security and neighborhood relations have affect on the residents' community attachment.Based on the conclusion,this paper put forward the advice about city planning and urban renewal : specific recommendations will put forward on the transformation of the old city,a reasonable distribution of educational facilities and the improvement of the urban quality from the macro level,and optimization of the community function,the formation of community culture,the building of the smart community from the micro level.
