Family-kindergarten communication,is a two-way interactive process based on transmitting,feeding and sharing information among kindergarten,teachers,and parents by using the media such as language,in order to foster mutual understanding,build up partnership,reach understanding or consensus and construct harmonious educational environment for the purpose of children' comprehensive and healthy developing.Taking the headmasters,teachers and parents of 6 urban kindergartens in different scales and with different attributes in N city as research subjects,a combined regimen of questionnaire and interview survey was carried out,family-kindergarten communication understandings,attitudes,forms of participation,contents and frequency of teachers and parents and the assessment made by teachers and parents were being investigated.The problems,influential factors existed in the communication of family and kindergarten were summarized and analyzed,and then proposed relative solutions.The 150 questionnaires for teachers were issued,131 recalled;and 528 questionnaires for parents,416 recalled.The result of analysis demonstrates:(1)the present situation of familykindergarten communication.Administrators didn't take on the responsibilities in this process,nor fully took their own educational advantages or communicated with parents in various activities such as parents' school,open days for parents.Generally,necessity of communication between family and kindergarten has almost come into both teachers' and parents' consciousness,but attention hasn't been paid seriously in deed.Meanwhile,the forms employed for the communication were seldom varied,and usually they communicated when children were taken to or picked up from kindergartens and by using mobile phone short message.While family-kindergarten communication focuses mainly on children' study,health,life,personality or psychology etc.,relatively aspects like children social development,interests,problems and puzzles in family-education?parenting knowledge were seldom covered.(2)Major influence factors.To begin with,kindergarten,along with teachers,as well as parents didn't really come to realize the importance and necessities of the communication between family and kindergarten.Secondly,it is inadequate communication,lacking mutual understanding,considerations and poor communicational skills that put barriers on the interaction.Furthermore,as for both teachers and parents are busy,time for the communication was limited.In conclusion,the analysis of this survey proves that both kindergarten,including teachers,and children' parents play a critical role in the building good and harmonious communicational environment between family and kindergarten.For the bright development of Children,both sides should take active measures to open up their communications,enhancing the family-kindergarten relationships with mutual understanding,trust,and cooperation as well.On the other hand,for their increasing comprehension of the communication,making up their own shortage,and their growing motivation and effectiveness,great efforts should be exerted by kindergarten,teachers,and children' parents.
