The flipped classroom instruction model has reversed the traditional teaching mode which focus on an explanation of content by teachers utilizing a lecture-style.It is based on a combination of the "constructivism learning theory","mastery learning method" and "mixed learning theory",which highlights the importance of "learning before giving instructions" and further shifts instruction to a learnercentered model as students will have more control.The flipped classroom instruction model will help student improve their ability to learn by themselves,and enhance their capability to find and solve problems,which has attracted attentions from more and more scholars.In recent years,many schools in China have practiced the flipped classroom model and made certain achievements.In teaching practice,the flipped classroom model has its advantages,however,it also has disadvantages.It is of significance that we study how the flipped classroom concept are applied in our education program,so as to establish a new teaching model that meets the needs of the teaching reform in China.This paper analyses and studies the practice of the flipped classroom model in the teaching process in China based on questionnaires and interviews.Based on understanding and evaluation of the flipped classroom model by teachers in the primary and secondary schools in China,it is found that not all teachers in our country understand the flipped classroom model.In the practice of the flipped teaching style in China,it has revealed some conflicts that the flipped classroom model is not fully in line with the real classroom needs in our country,however,it is feasible to promote the flipped classroom model.Based on suggestions made by teachers and students to improve the flipped classroom model,this paper combines the "peer learning theory" with the basic concepts of the flipped classroom model and establishes an optimized classroom model which emphasizes the importance of cooperative learning.The optimization is centered on both the teachers and students,which divides the learning activities into two forms,the self-learning style and the cooperative learning style.Students will learn knowledge through three stages,the pre-class,classroom and after-school.The optimization model has a certain degree of flexibility,which focus not only on the students' independent thinking ability,but also their ability to cooperate with others and make explorations.This model focus on the learning process of students,which shall play a certain role to improve students' academic performance,change their learning attitude,and improve their ability to cooperate with others and make explorations.The flipped classroom instruction model is a product due to the combination of modern technology and education,which has brought changes to classroom instruction and has played certain effects on the development of students' comprehensive skills.As a new model,the flipped classroom instruction model still has room for continuous improvement,which can be adapted to our teaching practice in a better way to generate a new model suitable for our actual needs.Schools and teachers should be keep a positive and open mind to face the opportunities and challenges provided by modern technologies,so as to make progress together with the students.
